About Ilithiyana Academics

Online tutoring for Grades 6–12

Ilithiyana Academics is the online tutoring arm of Ilithiyana (Pty) Ltd (registered 2020/652431/07, founded 2020). We help learners in Grades 6–12 build confidence and improve results through live, small-group online lessons on the CAPS curriculum.

Our mission is learner success: structured tutoring, clear expectations for parents, and support that fits real school schedules — focused help in the subjects learners need most.

We teach English, Pure Maths, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Technology, Economic Management Sciences, Life Orientation, Creative Arts, Physical Science, Life Sciences. Classes run at a 1 tutor : 3 learners ratio so every learner gets attention. Applications are open throughout the year. 1 hour per session. Package A includes eight (8) lesson hours per month. Day and times are agreed with your tutor based on the school schedule.

Package A (R1,000/month) includes eight lesson hours plus career guidance each month. Package B (R175/lesson) suits exam preparation with flexible pay-per-lesson billing — both include personalised career guidance.

Our founder

Masande Dudula

Founder · Est. 2020

Masande Dudula founded Ilithiyana Academics in 2020 to give South African learners access to consistent, high-quality online tutoring without the friction of PDF forms and scattered WhatsApp threads.

He leads tutor allocation, parent communication, and the career guidance programme. His focus is practical operations: small groups, clear schedules, and systems that scale as enrolment grows across all nine provinces.

Ilithiyana operates as a registered South African company. Masande works directly with families during onboarding and keeps the programme affordable while maintaining structured academic support.

30-minute onboarding

Every new family receives a guided onboarding call: how Google Meet classes work, how to access session links, and what to expect in the first month.

Term progress reports

Tutors provide term reports showing where your child improved, where they still struggle, and what to focus on next term — so progress is visible, not guessed.

Agreed weekly schedule

Session days and times are set with your tutor around the school calendar. Package A includes eight lesson hours per month in small groups (1:3).

Career guidance included

Weekly Monday career sessions cover university applications, subject choices, bursaries, and life-after-school planning — included in your subscription, not an add-on.

Subjects we tutor (CAPS)

Specialist online support across five core subjects. We are upfront about what we do not teach.

Pure Maths

Grades 6–12

Build confidence in algebra, functions, trigonometry, and exam technique. Ideal for learners falling behind in class or preparing for mid-year and final exams.

Physical Science

Grades 10–12

Support for Physics and Chemistry concepts on the CAPS FET curriculum — problem-solving, past-paper style practice, and understanding theory step by step.

Natural Sciences

Grades 6–9

Foundation-phase and senior-phase science before learners specialise — helps bridge primary school science into high school Physical Science and Life Sciences.

Life Sciences

Grades 10–12

Focused help on CAPS Life Sciences content, terminology, and exam readiness for learners aiming to improve marks or secure university entrance requirements.

English

Grades 6–12

Reading, writing, comprehension, and literature skills — supports learners who need clearer expression and stronger results in English Home Language or First Additional Language contexts.

Not offered: Accounting, Geography, History, CAT, Afrikaans, Business Studies. Please choose only from the subjects listed above when you apply.

Career guidance (included)

Career guidance is built into every Ilithiyana Academics subscription. Sessions run weekly on Mondays and help learners connect school work to real next steps.
